This Tumblr is primarily a feed of my work for The Fly, where I am a staff writer, Drowned In Sound and The 405. My day job is as a reporter for the Dewsbury Reporter and Mirfield Reporter.

I have previously worked for Exposed and The Star in Sheffield, and at the Edinburgh Festivals for ThreeWeeks. As a student I was arts editor of Forge Press.

Savages @ The Cockpit, Leeds, 28/7/2012 for The Fly

Tonight should be a test forSavages, the most hotly-tipped band in Britain. They’re playing in Yorkshire for the first time, away from the London hype machine they’ve already converted. Unlike at their fast-becoming-legendary shows in the capital, we can’t see any record label execs propping up the bar.
