This Tumblr is primarily a feed of my work for The Fly, where I am a staff writer, Drowned In Sound and The 405. My day job is as a reporter for the Dewsbury Reporter and Mirfield Reporter.

I have previously worked for Exposed and The Star in Sheffield, and at the Edinburgh Festivals for ThreeWeeks. As a student I was arts editor of Forge Press.

Tramlines, Sheffield, 20-22/8/2012 for The Fly

For many at Sheffield’s free festival Tramlines this year, the weekend started with a queue – specifically the one to see Alt-J at The Bowery, which was forming six hours before the band played. Plenty of fans wrote the show off, never imagining they’d get in, but those who made it witnessed something special.
